** A new working language means a language that was not present in the previous IOL. Please, note that countries can ask for any language. Asking for a particular language (e.g. English) does NOT give an advantage during the contest – all language versions are equal. Please, make sure that you have read through the Working language(s) selection page carefully before requesting a new language.

REGISTRATION FEES

It’s our pleasure to introduce the Friendship days in 2023. During these 2 days we will organise a hike in the beautiful Pirin mountain and will offer possibilities for a lot of additional social, scientific and cultural exchange events.

Friendship days are included in the Full Package only. The Basic package with lower fees is shown after the Full Package.

For your convenience you can upgrade from Basic to Full package with additional fees as described in Basic Package section until June 2023 .

The participants who have chosen the Basic Package can extend it to Full Package with additional payment by 170 EUR per person (220 EUR for single room accommodation).

Notes on the Fees

Important

All fees are in Euro (EUR).

All bank fees, such as money transfer fees and currency conversion charges (if any), must be paid by the sender.

The final registration fee depends on the month the full payment is completed.

The team registration fee covers participation of 1 team leader and 4 contestants as described below.

The number of team leaders cannot exceed the number of teams you register. For example, if you want to come with 2 team leaders and 4 contestants, one team leader should register as an observer and pay the observer fee.

Covered by the fee

We will provide the following services to all the invited participants:

Transfers from and to Sofia Airport (SOF) to the accommodation;
Accommodation from the night of Friday 21st (Sunday 23rd for the basic package) till the morning of Saturday 29th July, 2023;
All meals from evening meal on Friday 21st (Sunday 23rd for the basic package) till the breakfast on Saturday 29th July, 2023.
All social activities, lectures and IOL Excursion on Wednesday 26th July.

Additional days may be available on request.

Not covered by the fee

Visa application fee;
Travel insurance;
Meals, accommodation, travel expense before or after the dates listed above.

Single Room Request

All participants (including contestants, team leaders, jurors, and volunteers) will be offered a double or triple room. You can use the room individually, upon request. The extra charge for the single room depends on the month the payment is completed. Single rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Individual Observers

We strongly encourage all the observers to be registered together with the teams of the country the observers are from, and pay the fee together, in order to reduce the administrative procedures and transaction fees and also to be accommodated as a group. If you are not willing to or not able to register together, please register individually by using the contact form. The observer fee depends on the month the payment is completed.
